On December 21, 2012, at about 3:45pm, The Pas RCMP Detachment along with area Fire and EMS responded to a head-on collision on Highway 10, about 15 kilometres north of The Pas.
Early investigation show that a GMC pick-up truck, driven by a 44-year-old man of OCN, was traveling south on Highway 10, when he drifted into the oncoming lane and collided with a northbound Ford pick-up truck.
Police say that both trucks were found in the east ditch and both drivers required to be extricated from their vehicles.
RCMP report that the driver of the Ford pick-up truck, an adult male, was found deceased at the scene. The driver of the GMC pick-up truck was taken to The Pas Health Centre in stable condition.
Alcohol is considered a factor in this collision and RCMP continue to investigate.
