On December 30, 2012, at about 5:45pm, Thompson RCMP Detachment were dispatched to a residence in the Eastwood area of the City of Thompson where an unresponsive adult male was found injured in the residence.

RCMP report that the man was transported to Thompson General Hospital were he later succumbed to his injuries. His death is being treated as a homicide.

RCMP Thompson Detachment assisted by the RCMP D Division Serious Crime Unit, the RCMP Thompson Forensic Identification Section and the RCMP Thompson Major Crime Unit are currently investigating.
