On January 22, 2015, at about 6pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report that a suspect male was uttering several threats to harm people and police.
Police investigation revealed that this male was a high-risk individual.
On January 23, 2015, at about 1am, Steinbach RCMP attended a residence in La Broquerie where this high-risk individual was located and arrested. Pursuant to this investigation, RCMP attended an associated residence in Richer and seized a quantity of firearms.
RCMP report that a 32-year-old man, formerly of Steinbach who is currently residing in Saskatchewan, along with a 33-year-old woman from Muskoday First Nation, Saskatchewan, were arrested and are facing charges for uttering threats.
Police say that no one was injured during the arrest and that both suspects are still in custody.
