Before long we will begin hiring staff for our summer programs. Our Facilities staff usually begin work in April. We will again be looking for a Facilities Assistant – someone who enjoys the outdoors and physical work.

Our Education Program will kick into high gear in May. We expect to see about 3000 students on their field trips in May and June. In July and August we will again host our week-long day-camps and entertain Daycares that bring their children to MHV for the day. These programs require a couple of staff and many volunteers, and will begin in late April.

With our facility being open every day through the summer we also need support staff for reception and our gift shop. This will likely involve some weekend work and afford someone the opportunity to meet people from many other countries and from across our country.

The Livery Barn Restaurant will again require about a dozen staff to begin operations in May. It seems a number of last year’s staff will be returning but in all likelihood there will be some vacancies up for grabs.

Anyone interested in a job at MHV should watch the Job Opportunities page on our website at www.mhv.ca. These jobs will also be posted on mysteinbach.ca and steinbachonline.com. We hope that some of the jobs above will be funded by grants. Most summer employment grants require that the positions be filled by a student who is planning to return to school in fall.
