Many people here in Provencher rely on small and medium-sized businesses to make a living. In fact, these businesses account for nearly 90% of jobs in the private sector across Canada. That’s why our Conservative Government has announced new support to help them expand and create jobs.

Our new export market development program will provide financial assistance to entrepreneurs who are pursuing new export opportunities and markets, especially in emerging markets. Also, the Canadian Trade Commission Service (TCS) will receive new staffing and programming. With 160 trade offices in Canada and around the world, the TCS does important work – such as providing export advice and guidance to entrepreneurs.

This action builds on our Government’s record of support for small and medium-sized business, such as keeping taxes low and cutting red tape. It also builds on our pro-trade plan, which includes our agreement with the European Union, the world’s largest economy and largest importing market for goods. Businesses right here in Provencher and indeed, across the country, are benefitting.
