View From the Legislature

Last week our government was pleased to announce and see construction begin on a new intersection on Highway 12 North (at Trucks Unlimited) in Steinbach.

This project continues the redevelopment of this important and busy highway and will facilitate new development in the area. As the City and region grows, infrastructure changes continue to be needed to ensure that increased traffic can move in a way that is safe and efficient.

The new intersection will have turning lanes and new traffic signal lights. It is expected that paving will be finished by late October, with lights to be installed a few months after the paving is complete.

As always but especially during construction in this area, please drive safely as people will be busy working and some delays may be expected.
