View From the Legislature

This past Monday, I had the opportunity to congratulate Barkman Concrete on being named one of Canada’s Best Managed Company.

With more than 250 employees at three locations, Barkman’s has grown its reputation for quality and innovative products at the same time as maintaining its commitment to the communities it serves.

Originally founded by three brothers, Peter, Arnold and Edwin Barkman, the company has become not just a Steinbach success story but a Canadian success story. Peter’s son Alan has helped to take the company to the next level, and together with all of the staff of the company, they have truly earned the title of one of the Canada’s best managed companies. Most importantly, while Barkman’s has been blessed with success, they have returned that blessing by giving back to the community.
