As the end of August draws near many of the annual summer fairs and activities are also drawing to a close. Most communities in our region set aside a weekend or two during the summer to celebrate the uniqueness and spirit of their town or city. And it seems that these celebrations grow in attendance and activities every year.
And while the vast majority of us simply show up to the events and enjoy the entertainment that they provide, it takes a small army of volunteers for each of these community events to take place and succeed.
Once again this summer it seems that these volunteers have shined as brightly as the hot sun as they put together parades, BBQ’s, music and entertainment and countless other activities for all ages. It has again helped to build a sense of community and connectedness in the southeast.
There is no adequate way to say thank you to each of these volunteers other than by doing just that…Thank you!
