On Monday we observe Remembrance Day in Canada. A day when Canadians gather to remember, reflect on, and express our gratitude to those who have worn the uniform of Canada.
From the Boer War, through World War I and II, through Korea, Bosnia and Afghanistan, to today, we remember those who have served and those who have fallen.
We remember the sacrifice of these brave men and women, and their loved ones.
Veterans and their families deserve our thanks, not just on Remembrance Day, but every day.
Ensuring that our veterans and their families have the services and benefits they need and deserve will always be a priority for the Conservative Party of Canada.
Last month, Conservatives announced a comprehensive plan to deliver more help to Canada’s veterans in a timely and respectful manner.
Veterans are not asking for too much, and they should not have to fight the government in court to receive their benefits.
Instead of forcing veterans to work harder for government benefits, it’s time the government worked harder for our veterans.
Conservatives believe in providing the best possible services for veterans and their families, and we’ll continue to call on Justin Trudeau to fulfill the promises he made to our veterans.
They’ve done their duty. It’s time we did ours.
