I want to begin, this week, by expressing my thoughts and prayers for the families and communities facing the horrific floods in British Columbia. Canadians are united behind you, and Conservatives will be there to work with the government to help provide emergency support and recovery efforts.
This week, the 44th Parliament is having its first sitting.
It is always exciting to be back on Parliament Hill, and I am eager to get back to work for Provencher. I am proud to be your common-sense voice in Ottawa.
That’s my message for Provencher residents: Conservatives will be there with commonsense solutions that will help our country move forward.
It is clear from the results of last month’s election, Western Canadians – particularly those in rural ridings – feel increasingly left behind by this out-of-touch and ideologically-driven Liberal Government.
We recognize that Justin Trudeau’s fiscal policies have led to inflation and his social policies have led to division.
Canada’s Conservatives will hold Justin Trudeau’s Liberals accountable for skyrocketing grocery, gasoline and housing prices, our national unity crisis, and escalating crime in communities across Canada.
We will hold Justin Trudeau accountable for supply chain and labour shortages.
We will continue to support public health efforts to end the COVID-19 crisis, while at the same time advocating commonsense compromises and accommodations so the Charter rights of Canadians can be respected, and our communities can heal.
Canada’s Conservatives are focused on a realistic and inclusive plan that promotes economic prosperity, national unity, and strong communities from coast-to-coast-to-coast.
