Tractor Trek Steinbach celebrated its 14th season this year!

It is a sight to see so many heritage tractors parading our Mennonite Heritage Village’s (MHV) street and then the country roads. Tractor Trek is a partnership event between MHV and Eden Foundation that provides each of them needed funding. MHV is committed to preserving and exhibiting the Mennonite story as well as to provide a place of well-being for all visitors. Eden Health Care Services is creating a good future for people who are on a mental health journey. Both organizations serve the same part of the province that has been influenced by the people whose heritage is highlighted at the museum.

On the weekend of June 16-18, MHV will set-up our waffle shop on Main Street, Steinbach. The MHV waffle shop with its cast iron cookers and delicious vanilla white sauce is a major food attraction for Summer in the City. Our traditional way of making waffles in the outdoor air makes them extra sumptuous. If you and your friends would like to help us cook and serve wonderful waffles for this community event, please call us. Finally, MHV’s summer day camp registration still has space. Let us know if you have a child who would enjoy a week learning a variety of heritage skills, history and having fun in MHV’s outdoor village.
