Bring family and friends to MHV on Monday, September 3, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM for Fall on the Farm.
This year we are featuring a unique event. With the support of the Southeast Draft Horse Association, we are planning to operate two threshing machines on the field just north of the Village. Eight loads of sheaves are being stored under roof, and two machines are being checked out and prepared for work. Weather permitting, our guests will have the opportunity to pitch sheaves, either onto a wagon or into the threshing machine. Come also for more pioneer demonstrations, ethnic food, great entertainment, kids’ activities, and the opportunity to remember what life was like for those who came to our country to create new communities and make a new start to an old way of life.
