Bedtime on Christmas Eve… The minutes before the curtain opens… The night before a week’s vacation at Grandma’s… Dress rehearsal before the big day. Butterflies. Nerves. Excitement. Whatever you call the feelings of anticipation that occur before an event that you have been eagerly waiting for, I’m having them!

Recently I wrote about buds peeping out on dead-looking branches in spring and likened that new growth to the changes here in my corner of the Museum. Summer staff are starting to arrive and preparing for the new season. I’m so excited! (And I just can’t hide it…) Like kids in a candy store or a proud new mama, Roxanna and I have been so pleased to grow our gift shop and now the General Store!

Here are a few reasons why we can’t wait to show you around:
