Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017 is set to be an exceptional year for Canadians. In a country as vast and diverse as Canada, each of us can contribute something unique and meaningful to this celebration.
Heritage Minister Shelly Glover recently announced new Canada 150 funding to help with the celebrations. This programming will aim to make the most of government investments and generate economic spin-offs for communities of all sizes across the country.
As announced in Budget 2015, a total of $210 million over four years, starting in 2015-16, will support activities, events and celebrations across Canada.
