Trail Talking

In some of my previous writings, I’ve written about the importance of slowing down and being attentive in traffic since students went back to school. I recently took this message to the legislature. On Nov. 10, I presented a Private Member’s Statement in the House on the importance of safe winter driving and vehicle maintenance, as well as on remaining attentive and not driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

I feel very strongly that driving is a privilege and that everyone has a responsibility to ensure the safety of not only themselves but of the many others who use the roads in our communities. As we approach the season of Christmas festivities, please ensure you are enjoying the season with safe plans for transportation.

As the holiday season starts, there are many things I am very grateful for – a warm home, a loving family, living in such a beautiful province and the privilege to represent the residents of Dawson Trail.
