View From the Legislature

The recent shooting of a Manitoba RCMP officer was a tragic reminder of the dangers our law enforcement officials can face every day they are on the job. We have seen recently in Canada far too many incidents of police who are targeted as they go about their work protecting our communities.

The personal sacrifice that RCMP and municipal police officers make, along with their families, is tremendous. While we remember and pray for the officers and their families who have been involved in shootings in recent months, we are thankful everyday to those who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities. They truly are community hero’s.
