For the last four years, Justin Trudeau and the Liberals have made it harder for Canadians to get ahead.
Justin Trudeau and the Liberals have sought to raise taxes on everything from small businesses and family farms to health benefits, to the small employee discounts minimum wage workers receive.
Justin Trudeau saddled Canadians with a Carbon Tax. All to pay for his out of control spending.
With all that taxing and spending you’d think Canadians would be seeing some benefits, but are you? Are you better off than you were four years ago? Have you seen an improvement in government services? Do you feel safer when you walk down the street? Is life more affordable?
The answer I keep hearing from constituents is a resounding “no.” Instead, I hear about how life just keeps getting more expensive.
Canadians are facing an affordability crisis. Under the Liberals, 81% of middle-class families are paying (on average) $840 more per year in taxes. That doesn’t include the cost of the Carbon Tax or increased CPP payroll taxes.
Nearly half of Canadians are within $200 per month of not being able to pay their bills or service their debt.
Canadians cannot afford another four years of Justin Trudeau and the Liberals.
Canada’s Conservatives understand that Canadians need tax relief, not more new taxes. You cannot tax your way to a stronger economy any more than you can tax your way to cleaner environment. That’s why the first act of a new Conservative government will be to scrap the Liberal Carbon Tax.
We will eliminate the taxes from parental benefits.
We also plan to eliminate the GST from home heating and electricity bills.
We will rework the mortgage stress test, and work to remove regulatory barriers, so more Canadians can afford to buy a home.
Andrew Scheer understands the kitchen-table issues facing Canadians. Our Conservative team is working hard to create common-sense policies that will help you get ahead.
