Over the past several months there has been much discussion regarding Syrian refugees fleeing from their war-torn country.
After serving residents of Provencher for the past eight years at our current location on Main Street, our constituency office is moving.
Earlier this week I stood in the House of Commons to speak on behalf of the people of Provencher. I addressed the many promises made to Canadians within the Liberal Speech from the Throne.
With the return to Parliament this week, I look forward to working with the many newly elected MPs.
As the Member of Parliament for Provencher, I am looking forward to the next session of Parliament which starts in early December.
On Friday November 13th, the world witnessed with horror the brutal attacks in Paris that claimed the lives of many innocent people and seriously wounded many others.
Last week was a very interesting one as Conservative Caucus members, both past and present, gathered together in Ottawa.
This week, Conservative MPs from across the country will meet to select an interim leader for the party. The person selected will lead the party until a formal leader is chosen at a national leadership convention.
With the 42nd general election in our rear view mirror it is time once again to move forward.
The spring sitting of the House of Commons that wrapped up in late June was very productive. Our Government focused on jobs and growth, keeping taxes low and protecting Canadians.
