Seldom do I write about death or dying. We always want to stay on the living or positive side of things, and not think too much about the inevitability of death.

There is so much talk today about end time events, and what it should mean to us.

I believe all of us share one common thought as Christians: Why doesn’t God remove irritants in our lives, things that are hurtful to us, or as the apostle Paul calls it, (“Thorns in the flesh.”) especially when we pray for deliverance, to be free from the things that bother us?

All of us have witnessed events during the past year or so where people banged their heads together hoping that we would take notice and come on side with their way of thinking.

The old gives way to the new: We’re all set to go for another twelve months: We’ve left the old year behind, all things are new and pure; we’ve made our plans and all systems are go.

Tell Me The Old Old Story: We have read about it. We sing songs about it. We proclaim it as loud as we can.

One of the oldest instruments for navigation has been the magnetic compass. It is a vital tool that allows ships to steer a given course.

Feeling guilty, who me? Why should I feel guilty? What have I ever done that should cause me to go on a guilt trip?
