What would all of us do without partnerships? While our culture pushes us toward independence in many aspects of life, we really are quite dependent on others for many things that make life both livable and enjoyable.

On Saturday, May 12, our province is celebrating its 148th birthday. Mennonite Heritage Village is joining in with planned festivities.

The prospect of having someone else match or stretch one’s own donation to a worthy cause is attractive to many people. In 2014 a friend of Mennonite Heritage Village offered to match all new donations earmarked for a specific project, up to a maximum of $100,000.

Mennonite Heritage Village recently hosted a class of Grade 11 students from one of our local high schools. A question posed to us during a conversation with the group was, “What are the most significant challenges of operating the museum?”

Six staff members from Mennonite Heritage Village traveled to Morden, Manitoba, this week to visit the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre.
