Parks Fleet Maintenance

The City of Steinbach has a full-time fleet maintenance opening in the Parks & Recreation Department.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and perform repairs and maintenance on equipment including ground keeping and landscaping equipment, and vehicles.
- Maintain organized work areas and assure overall cleanliness of facilities, both interior and exterior
Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined (mechanical certification not required)
- Repair and maintenance experience with small engines and vehicles is an asset
- Ability to solve problems
- Attention to detail
- Ability to effectively communicate with the public
- Willing to work some weekend shifts
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
The City offers a 40-hour workweek with an excellent and comprehensive benefits package. Conditions of employment include an acceptable Criminal Record Check and Driver’s Abstract.
