Shift: Evenings, 2 pm – 10 pm
La Cocina Foods is currently hiring hard-working, success-driven Shift Supervisors/Lead Hands looking for a long-term career in the unique world of food production. The successful candidate will join the La Cocina production team in Ste. Anne, MB and help produce the world’s best corn tortillas and tortilla chips.

What you’ll do:
- Lead a shift-specific team to fulfil the company’s daily and weekly production objectives. This involves achieving daily production targets and overseeing the productivity, quality, and safety standards of plant employees.
- Lead in sustaining and creating a positive work culture of humility, warmth, friendliness and diligent, hard work.
- Coordinate workflow and ensure that employees are clear on their responsibilities or assigned tasks. Maintain up-to-date training records and provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance employee productivity.
- Ensure the maintenance of standard operating procedures and production reporting, including running totals, shift work reports, and production summaries.
- Foster and uphold a safe and productive work environment by ensuring adherence to La Cocina policies (such as safety, harassment, and food safety) and conducting ongoing training and follow-up.
- Perform audits and investigations on safety and quality. Ensure that all quality-related activities are completed and that there is compliance with all legal and company policies and procedures.
- Operate and troubleshoot packaging and food processing equipment.

You will supervise the workflow and safety of up to five shift-specific team members. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be part of a team dedicated to fostering a culture of support, high quality, food safety, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

- Have 3+ years of supervisory experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered)
- Have prior experience working with food, machinery and computers/technology is an asset, as is training and knowledge with Forklift Certification, WHMIS, First Aid and the Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health Act.
