On March 8, 2017, at approximately 8:45pm, Falcon Lake RCMP received a call from Kenora Flight Services advising their medi-vac helicopter was intentionally struck by a green laser light and tracked while on a westbound flight from Kenora to Winnipeg.
Police say that there were no injuries to the crew or patient on-board and no damage to the aircraft was reported.
RCMP noted that they cannot stress enough the seriousness of the incident and the dangers it could impose to those working and the passengers aboard the aircraft.
