A 28-year-old Portage la Prairie woman has been arrested and is facing a number of drug related charges after the vehicle she was driving rolled at a location on Highway 1.
On February 16, 2022, at approximately 3:15pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 1, in the RM of Portage la Prairie.
Police say that incident involved a vehicle going off the highway and rolling as a result. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 28-year-old Portage la Prairie woman, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A search of the female and vehicle resulted in the seizure of approximately 20 grams of individually packaged methamphetamine and fentanyl.
RCMP report that the woman was arrested for two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled substance. She is scheduled to appear in court in Portage la Prairie with further charges pending.
