On the morning of March 10, 2017, officers from the Carman, Manitou and Morris RCMP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a residence located in Miami, Manitoba. Assisting in the search was the Emergency Response Team and Police Dog Services.
As a result of the search, police located and seized bundles of cash, estimated at $25,000, along with a small amount of marijuana. Police also recovered an ATV that had been reported stolen out of Saskatchewan two years prior.
RCMP report that four occupants in the residence at the time of the search were arrested. 34-year-old Reuben John Reimer of Morden was remanded into custody and is facing numerous criminal charges. Two females, a 44-year-old and a 21-year-old, were released for court and will face charges under the Criminal Code and Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The fourth subject, a male youth, was released from custody and will not face charges.
