St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP are reporting that a 64-year-old Morris, Manitoba man was seriously injured after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a semi truck on Highway 52.
On May 4, 2022, at approximately 2:40pm, St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a report of a collision involving a motorcycle and semi truck on Highway 52 near the intersection with Highway 59 in the Rural Municipality of De Salaberry.
Police believe that strong winds may have caused the westbound motorcycle to drift into the oncoming lane where it collided with the eastbound trailer of the semi.
RCMP report that the motorcycle driver, a 64-year-old Morris man, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where he remains in critical condition. The driver of the semi was not injured.
St-Pierre-Jolys RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate this incident.
