RCMP are reporting that a recent traffic stop in Dauphin, Manitoba has led to the arrest of a 40-year-old man and seizure of methamphetamine, cocaine, cash and drug related paraphernalia.
On June 14, 2022, at 3:15pm, officers from the West District CREST unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle located on Vermillion Place in Dauphin, Manitoba. When contact was made with the vehicle, officers located a 40-year-old male passenger who had two outstanding warrants of arrest for trafficking methamphetamine and other firearms-related offences.
Police say that a search of a backpack belonging to the man, resulted in the seizure of cash, 157 grams of methamphetamine, five grams of cocaine and other drug related paraphernalia.
RCMP report that 40-year-old Trevor Sutherland was arrested and remanded into custody on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine and possession of property obtained by crime. He is also facing previous charges from investigations where methamphetamine was seized following two separate search warrants.
