Officers with the Manitoba RCMP West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST) recently conducted a traffic stop in Dauphin which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of drugs, cash and a weapon.
The traffic stop took place on 1st Street SE in Dauphin, MB.
Police say that a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of cocaine, illicit prescription drugs and cash. Further investigation led to the search of a residence located on 4th Avenue SE in Dauphin, where officers from West District CREST and Dauphin RCMP seized 176 grams of cocaine, illicit cannabis, illicit prescription drugs, cash, a loaded rifle, unstamped cigarettes and multiple drug trafficking paraphernalia items.
RCMP report that 42-year-old Katie Ann Schabler from Dauphin was arrested and charged with numerous drug related offences. She was remanded into custody.
