Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 23-year-old Blumenort man was recently arrested in connection to an impaired driving incident involving two pedestrians in Richer, Manitoba.
On August 6, 2022, at approximately 2:15am, Steinbach RCMP responded a report of a vehicle that had hit two pedestrians at the rodeo grounds located on Dawson Road in Richer. Police attended the scene and discovered two females with minor injuries. Both victims were transported to hospital.
RCMP report that a 23-year-old Blumenort man was arrested and will be facing numerous impaired driving related charges, including impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. The man also received a three month driving suspension as well as a serious offence notice for a licence review with MPI.
Police say that the suspect was released for a future court appearance in Steinbach Provincial Court.
