On March 28, 2017, at approximately 12:20am, members of the RCMP North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Team and the Wabowden RCMP initiated a traffic stop near Wabowden, Manitoba.

Police say that the male driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was arrested in relation to an ongoing investigation. As a result of a vehicle search, officers found a large sum of cash, 103 pounds of marijuana and nine pounds of a marijuana derivative known as “shatter”.

RCMP report that 34-year-old Jackson Chanthachith of Calgary, Alberta, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking a marijuana derivative and possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000. Chanthachith was remanded into custody.
