Steinbach RCMP are asking the public for any information that may help in police investigations regarding multiple theft incidents that occurred in Steinbach and the surrounding area over the summer months.
On July 24, 2022, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a break and enter into a business located on the 300 block of Main Street. The business was broken into sometime between the evening of July 23 and the morning of July 24. It is believed the suspects accessed the business by removing a window grate to gain access. Police say that approximately $1,000 worth of tools were stolen from the business.
On August 8, 2022, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a break and enter at an organization located on Road 32N in the RM of Hanover. It is believed the organization was broken into sometime between the evening of August 7 and the morning of August 8. As a result of the break-in, a computer worth approximately $920 was stolen from the organization. The computer is described as custom built with a white Fractal Design Focus case.
On August 16, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a break-in at a business located in the 100 block of Stonebridge Crossing in Steinbach. The business was broken into at approximately 4am on August 16. RCMP say that approximately $1,800 worth of goods, mostly vape items, were stolen from the business. It is believed the suspect(s) gained entrance by damaging a wall from the outside.
On August 23, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a break and enter that occurred at a residence located in the 200 block of Woodhaven Avenue in Steinbach. The residence was broken into sometime between the evening of August 22 and the morning of August 23. In this incident, a green CCM mountain bicycle was stolen with a value of approximately $260.
On September 5, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a break and enter that occurred at a business located on the 100 block of Highway 12 N in Steinbach. It is believed the suspect gained access to the office at the business by breaking the lock with a crowbar. The damage to the door is estimated at approximately $1,500. Police say that a teal coloured Mongoose mountain bike, worth approximately $450, was stolen. The business was broken into sometime between the evening of September 3 and the morning of September 5.
