The City of Steinbach has announced that Park Road West will remain closed to east and westbound traffic between the EG Penner Building Centre entrance and Industrial Road until summer of 2023. Initially, the road was going to re-open December 1st, however additional time through the winter and spring is needed to complete the project.
City officials say that work is being done in the area to develop Park Road West into a four-lane divided roadway, similar to how it is to the east. This is in conjunction with the residential development that is occurring on the north side of Park Road West.
In addition to the current project, the project timeline and road closure extension will allow the City to expand the work to just west of Industrial Road.
The public is reminded that road closure signs will be posted and motorists are asked to follow all signs and use caution in the area.
