Construction is underway for the new Southeast Event Centre, and the City of Steinbach would like to inform the public that pile driving activities will begin on-site this week. As a result, some businesses and residents in the surrounding area may hear noise and feel vibrations associated with the work being done.
City officials say that intermittent pile driving for the Southeast Event Centre site is expected to occur Monday to Friday between 7am and 6m and is set to wrap-up sometime in March. There is no expected impact to travel along Reimer Avenue, Elmdale Street or Hanover Street, but motorists are asked to use caution in the area and follow any signage posted.
