Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 35-year-old La Broquerie woman was recently arrested and charged in connection to an impaired driving incident that occurred in Steinbach.
On March 30, 2023 at 9:44pm, Steinbach RCMP, along with the Steinbach Fire Department and EMS, were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at a location on Mackenzie Avenue in Steinbach.
Upon arrival at the scene, police determined that a vehicle, traveling west on Mackenzie Avenue, had collided with two parked vehicles.
Police say that during the investigation, a suspicion developed that the driver was under the influence which resulted in utilizing a roadside screening device. Subsequently, the driver blew a “fail” and was arrested for impaired operation of a conveyance. The driver was then taken back to the Steinbach detachment for further breath samples.
RCMP report that the 35-year-old La Broquerie woman from is facing a number of impaired driving related charges in connection to this incident.
