Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a number of recent theft incidents that happened during the month of March. The incidents occurred in both Steinbach and the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne, Manitoba.
March 19, 2023, Steinbach RCMP received a report of an attempted theft of fuel and damage to a vehicle. The registered owner advised that sometime between late evening on March 18 and the early morning of March 19, an unknown suspect attempted to steal fuel from his vehicle in the parking lot of a residence located on Parkview Crescent in Steinbach. The owner told police that an unknown suspect attempted to steal the fuel by drilling into the fuel tank.
On March 27, 2023, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred on Road 42N in the RM of Ste. Anne. It is believed that the theft occurred sometime between the evening of March 26 and the morning of March 27. In this incident, the suspect stole miscellaneous electronics, valued at approximately $200, and vehicle registration documents from the vehicle.
