Manitoba RCMP are reporting that two Winnipeg men have recently been arrested and charged after they were found to be in possession of an illegal firearm and unstamped tobacco.
On May 26, 2023, at approximately 2pm, Manitoba RCMP conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in a parking lot of a business located just off Highway 59 in the RM of St. Clements.
Police say that during the stop, an officer observed unstamped tobacco in the vehicle. Subsequently, both occupants were arrested. A further search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in the discovery of a 3D printed handgun.
RCMP report that 23-year-old Zachary Gladu and 20-year-old Drayden Prince, both of Winnipeg, will be facing numerous firearms related charges, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. Both individuals were remanded into custody and are also facing provincial charges for the illegal tobacco.
