Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the recent theft of a chainsaw that occurred at Penner Auctions located on Brandt Street in Steinbach.
On June 5, 2023, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a break, enter and theft from Penner Auction.
Investigation determined that at approximately 1:30am on the same day, suspects cut the fence at Penner Auctions to access the compound. The individuals then pried open the main door, gaining entry into the building, stealing a chainsaw in the process.
Police say that the suspects left the property down Chrysler Gate towing an ATV behind their get-a-way vehicle.
RCMP noted that the ATV was recovered the following day.
