Manitoba Parks advises the Otter Falls campground in Whiteshell Provincial Park will be ready to welcome campers starting June 29, just in time for the Canada Day long weekend.
Located on the Winnipeg River, the Otter Falls campground was affected by flooding in 2022 and required a number of repairs.
Reservations will open June 22 at 9 a.m. Campers can make reservations by visiting www.manitobaparks.com. Reservations can also be made by calling 1-888-482-2267 or in-person at the Natural Resources and Northern Development office in Winnipeg at 1181 Portage Ave.
All other provincial park campgrounds are open with the exception of Tulabi Falls walk-in sites in Nopiming Provincial Park, which remain closed. Repairs are underway on the flood damage from last year, and an opening date is undetermined at this time.
Visitors are encouraged to check conditions prior to heading to provincial parks. For the latest information, visit manitobaparks.com.
