On April 8th, 2017 Dana Oftedal, Marketing Manager at Red River Mutual, presented a cheque for $38,127 to Martin Johnson, Chairman of the Firefighters’ Burn Fund of Manitoba.
Red River Mutual, along with broker partners HUB International, MIG Insurance, BSI Insurance, ONE Insurance, and La Salle Insurance, pledged to donate $1 to the Firefighters’ Burn Fund of Manitoba for each text entry received through a promotional campaign that ran throughout the Winnipeg Jets 2016/2017 season.
The Firefighters’ Burn Fund of Manitoba raises funds to support exceptional burn care, treatment, rehabilitation, and research for burn survivors. They also support fire and burn prevention initiatives, including the Firefighters’ Burn Fund Fire Safety Trailer Program. Red River Mutual is a major sponsor of the program, which has seen over 20 fire safety trailers deployed throughout the province of Manitoba. The trailers are provided to mutual aid districts, to deliver interactive fire safety education to young people at schools and public events.
