On April 28, 2017, at approximately 7:10am, Blue Hills RCMP responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 5 and the Trans-Canada Highway.
Police say that a pickup truck was traveling north on Highway 5 when the driver attempted to cross the Trans-Canada Highway. At the same time a westbound car collided with the pickup truck.
RCMP report that the 43-year-old male driver and lone occupant of the pickup truck, from Wellwood, Manitoba, has been charged with failing to yield. Both the driver of the pickup truck and the 50-year-old male driver and lone occupant of the car, from Holland, Manitoba, were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
