The City of Steinbach has announced that the next Oil Recycling Day is set for Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from 9am to 5pm.
The City invites the public to bring used oil (max. 205 litres per vehicle) to the Eco Centre at the Steinbach Landfill, located at 104 Hanover Road East. In exchange for the used oil, participants will receive a free a coupon for one litre of Co-op 5W-30 Sonic Silver Motor oil. Attendees are also invited to enjoy a hot dog and drink for $2 from 11am to 2pm.
The public are reminded that used oil, used oil filters and used plastic oil containers, need to be disposed of properly so they can be recycled into useful products instead of threatening our environment. Used oil and tires can be recycled year round at the Steinbach Landfill’s Eco Centre.
