Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of a vehicle from Funk’s Toyota in Steinbach. Police are asking the public for any information that may help in the investigation.
On October 16, 2023, at approximately 10:57pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report regarding a suspicious person at Funk’s Toyota in Steinbach. The unidentified individual was believed to have stolen a vehicle from the parking lot.
RCMP attended the scene and discovered that the service bay door window was broken. Further investigation revealed that a Toyota Highlander, with dealer plates, had been stolen from the parking lot.
Police say that the vehicle was later recovered in the field at Elmdale School in Steinbach. RCMP noted that the vehicle had sustained extensive damage after colliding into a fence.
