Sprague RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing woman from the Rural Municipality of Piney, 70-year-old Ywanna (Jean) Backman.
On October 19, 2023, at 10:30am, Sprague RCMP received a request to check on the wellbeing of Ywanna Backman. Officers attended Ywanna’s residence, searched the property and home, but were unable to locate her.
Officers noted that Ywanna Backman was last seen on October 13, 2023, and that the RCMP and her family are concerned for her wellbeing.
Police say that the search and investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the Manitoba RCMP Search and Rescue Team.
