On November 9, 2023, at 1:40pm, Steinbach RCMP responded to an anonymous bomb threat made against the daycare located in La Broquerie, Manitoba.
RCMP report that as a precautionary measure, the daycare, along with the adjoining school, were evacuated.
Officers attended to the school and conducted a preliminary search to ensure all staff and students were evacuated. No devices or suspicious items were located and the area was secured.
Police say that at 2:15pm on the same day, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP received a similar complaint in relation to its daycare and school in the community. Subsequently, both buildings were evacuated.
RCMP continue to investigate these incidents.
