Manitoba RCMP are reporting that a 76-year old woman was assaulted in a recent home invasion incident that occurred in a rural area north of Rossburn, Manitoba.
Police investigation determined that two male suspects, along with one female suspect, entered the home after knocking on the door. Subsequently, a 76-year old woman was assaulted. A family member then intervened and the male suspects fled the scene. The family member was able to briefly detain the female suspect, but she was able to flee on foot before police arrived. It is believed she was picked up in grey vehicle by the male suspects.
The victim was transported to hospital with injuries and has since been released.
RCMP report that the suspects were not known to the residents of the home, and no weapons were used in the attack. The male suspects were wearing masks covering their face, and the female suspect is described as being in her mid-twenties.
