Emerson RCMP are reporting that a 35-year-old Winnipeg woman has recently died as the result of a head-on collision that occurred near Letellier, Manitoba.
On November 30, 2023, at 8am, officers from the Emerson RCMP Detachment responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at a location on Highway 75, approximately one kilometer north of Letellier.
Investigators determined that a southbound vehicle entered the ditch and exited onto the northbound lane where it collided head-on with a northbound semi-trailer.
RCMP report that the driver of the southbound vehicle, a 35-year-old Winnipeg woman, was pronounced deceased on scene. The 33-year-old male driver of the semi-trailer, from Springfield, Oregon, was transported to hospital where he was treated and released.
Emerson RCMP, along with an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate this incident.
