A 43-year-old Portage la Prairie man has been arrested and charged in connection to a stolen ATV that was recovered at a local residence.
Portage la Prairie RCMP recently received a report of a stolen ATV. Police say that the ATV was equipped with an AirTag tracking device, which showed it to be at a location in the community.
Officers attended the area and observed fresh tire tracks leading into a garage at the location. As officers were working on getting a search warrant, a male suspect exited the residence and was arrested.
Police say that a search of the property resulted in the recovery of the stolen ATV.
RCMP report that a 43-year-old male, from Portage la Prairie, is facing charges of possession of property obtained by crime. The man was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Portage la Prairie at a future date.
