Red River Mutual staff have chosen to once again “dress casual” for a cause and chose to support the Gretna Elementary School Natural Playground Fundraiser. A monetary donation bought each staff member the ability to wear jeans to work the day before a long weekend and the last Friday of every month.
Earlier this month on Thursday, May 11, 2017, Red River Mutual presented the Gretna Elementary School Natural Playground Committee with a cheque for $3,000. These funds will go towards replacing the 1970’s playground structure currently used.
“Physical activity is important to both the emotional and physical well-being of all children,” said Megan Ursel, Red River Mutual Social Committee member. “We are delighted to have been able to be a part of this fundraiser and help the children in our communities.”
The new playground structure will help provide excellence in education and play for children at the Gretna Elementary School and surrounding communities.
