The City of Steinbach would like to inform residents that a road closure on a portion of Loewen Boulevard will be in effect between Henry Street and Albert Street on Tuesday, April 16, starting at 12:00pm, until Wednesday, April 17, end of day. This is in addition to the already in-effect single-lane closure between Albert Street and Hanover Street for Eastbound traffic.
City officials say that this traffic management is due to ongoing work being done at the lift station.
The City notes that westbound traffic will be directed to use detour routes through Henry Street to Main Street for Southbound traffic and Heritage Parkway to access PTH
12 for Northbound traffic.
Following the road closure on Tuesday and Wednesday, the eastbound lane will remain closed. Street parking will remain unavailable and the walkway crossing Loewen Boulevard at Henry Street will remain open as work continues in the area.
The City thanks motorists and pedestrians in advance for following all posted signage, exercising caution, and reducing speed in the area.
