Selkirk RCMP are reporting that a 44-year-old male suspect has been arrested and charged in connection to a recent indecent act incident that occurred at a daycare located on Morris Avenue in Selkirk.
On April 22, 2024, at approximately 11:30am, Selkirk RCMP responded to a report of an indecent act at a local daycare. It was reported that a male suspect exposed himself in front of children and staff, and then left on foot. An employee immediately contacted police and provided a description.
Officers attended the scene and began making patrols in the area, but were not able to locate the suspect at this time.
Police say that a second call was received at approximately 1:45pm, advising that the suspect had returned to the area. Officers responded and were able to arrest the man without incident.
RCMP report that the 44-year-old male suspect is facing a charge for an indecent act. He was released from custody with conditions, and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
